Washington County Historical Society
Located in West Bend, Wisconsin, the Washington County Historical Society is a nonprofit organization that is supported by contributions and memberships. The Society serves to promote an educational program by bringing a better understanding and appreciation to the citizens of Washington County for their history, heritage, and natural environment.
Friends of Abused Families, Inc.(FRIENDS or FAFINC) strives to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault by providing community leadership, expertise in crisis intervention and prevention education in Washington County.
St. Mary's Tropical Nights-themed fundraiserbreaking the monotony of winter with a festive event that heralded spring, and made attendees think of warm weather. St. Mary's School, located in West Bend (Barton), opened their doors in 1850. They are the oldest, continually operating parochial school in the state, and third oldest in the country, which makes them an institution that area residents can be proud of.
Special Olympics Wisconsin provides sports training and competition for nearly 10,000 athletes with cognitive disabilities in 18 different sports year-round.
The Department of Police exists to safeguard the lives and safety of all persons within the City, to protect property, and to assist in securing to all persons the equal protection of the law.
Labyrinth Garden Earth Sculpture
A unique concept in the health care of a community, the purpose of this Labyrinth is not only for decoration, but for meditation and inspiration as well. This interactive perennial garden will provide people of all ages the opportunity to slow down, meditate and enjoy the beauty and serenity surrounding them. This Labyrinth is maintained solely by volunteers.
